Made some updates to my Nexus CMS
. I completely tested the template class with modules etc. Applied most of my templates I made to the system and it seems to work very well. From HTML layout to Nexus Template only toke me about 5 minutes to convert. But I might make some things a bit more complex and dynamic by integrating widgets etc. Also one little aspect of the programming side of the modules to the html module needs a bit more pimping. But I’m sure it will look very nice. Just by the way it adapts the modules in any other layout and still maintains all of its functions will make this CMS very easy to use for new websites. Not to mention how easy it is to create your own modules and pages with debugging that points you exactly to the error.
Teasers might come soon so stay subscribed!
It’s been a while since my last post but I can assure you that I’ve been quiet busy lately
. Right now I’m in the middle of my exams so I’ve been studying a lot and had no time for my PC etc. I’ve also been working on a lot on some designs and made an overview of my activities this year when it comes to Webdesign & Development. I have made several designs and coded these layouts. But none of them have been implented in a CMS yet or just partially. Thats probably going to be my main concern for the moment. After that I might sell the other layouts (HTML & CSS) or make them available for download.
I’m currently also spending some time on getting to know how frameworks work and what the best way is to build a custom CMS. Thats why I’ve ordered the book PHP5: CMS and Framework Development by Martin Brampton. So far it seems really interesting and has taught me a lot. This book also informs you about the way Mambo, Joomla and Aliro works because the author has developed many applications for these CMS and Framework. I might write a review about it soon but I still have a lot of pages to read and my time is limited at the moment. But I will most likely release some PHP application soon, maybe a shoutbox or tutorial so stay tuned!
I’m kinda skipping the CMS project right now. Because I’m too busy with the rest of my life hehe. So I decided to aim myself on making templates for other CMS’s right now. Right now I’m designing this layout for probably Wordpress or Joomla. So far it’s looking really good.
UPDATE: The layout is coming very soon as I only need to finish the body in PSD. Slicing it up in HTML & CSS doesn’t require that much time. Next I will need to take a look at proper CMS and how-to create the code for the template. Anyways stay tuned for some more videos maybe and extra web graphics!
